Republican lawmakers in Madison yesterday approved their plan to spend Wisconsin’s two-billion-dollars in federal stimulus money. The plan is doomed, however, as Governor Evers has already promised to veto it. There are also questions about whether the Republican plan to use some of the stimulus money to pay down debt and cut taxes violates Congress’ spending rules.
