The plan to build a casino in Beloit is being opposed by anti-gambling groups.
Citizens Against Expanded Gambling and Wisconsin Family Action want Governor Tony Evers to disapprove the casino plan. The activists say the state’s 25 casinos are enough. Beloit City Manager Lori Curtis Luther says the project means jobs for the local economy. Governor Evers gave his approval this week.
