Eau Claire could soon be getting some new riverfront homes.
The city council is set to vote tonight on a proposal to turn the empty land along the river at Birch and Galloway streets into a housing development. The plan calls for a mix of apartments, condos, and duplexes. The developer, Rykey Properties, says it’d cost 17- million-dollars to build the new homes. Eau Claire city council member Andrew Werthmann says it’s just the kind of development the city needs.
