Bars and taverns across Wisconsin are a big step closer to be able to sell cocktails to go.
The state Assembly yesterday approved a plan to allow wine and liquor sales to go. Wisconsin’s Tavern League says bars and restaurants need a way to make-up for the business they’ve lost because of the coronavirus. The proposal allows for drinks in original containers only, which means bartenders can’t mix a drink and put it in a to-go cup. The plan now heads to the state Senate, where it could be rolled into a larger alcohol sales proposal.
