One Girl Scout’s concern for turtles is helping make some of Wisconsin’s roads safer for them.
The state Department of Natural Resources says Girl Scout Ella Kreuziger raised enough money to pay for stenciling a turtle crossing on a highway in Waukesha County to alert drivers about crossing turtles. The D-N-R says residents have reported over three-thousand turtle crossings and they’re working with locals to make the roads safer for them.
