The top man in Dane County government is willing to pay the World Dairy Expo to stay in Madison.
County Executive Joe Parisi yesterday offered to cover the costs for the Expo for ten years, as long as the show stays put. World Dairy Expo managers earlier this month said they are looking at other possible homes because of Madison’s limits on crowds and businesses.
Nearly 70 thousand people attend the Expo each year, and Madison’s coronavirus restrictions wouldn’t allow for that many people to be in one place. Parisi didn’t say anything about rolling those restrictions back, he also didn’t say how much the expenses for the Expo would cost.
