A father, a son, and a young woman are all facing charges in connection to last December’s murder in Marathon County.
The D.A. filed charges yesterday against Jared Carl, his father Shawn Carl, and Audrey Benson for their roles in 20-year-old Christian Schauer’s death last December. Investigators say Jared Carl shot Schauer, while Shawn Carl and Benson helped hide the body and cover-up the crime. Jared Carl is facing homicide charges and is being held on a million-dollars bond.
