An agreement in Wisconsin’s caviar trafficking case could mean no charges for two caviar dealers.
Victor and Mary Schneider have agreed to get out of the caviar business for a year and to stay out of trouble. If they do that, prosecutors in Fond du Lac say they will not press charges against them. The Schniders are two of the people caught-up in the case of a former DNR official who sent caviar eggs to connected dealers in exchange for gifts and kickbacks. That official is looking at misdemeanor charges in the case.
