A 40-year-old Marshfield male was found to be in possession of over 90 grams of methamphetamine during a traffic stop this morning.
An officer stopped the vehicle at 2:25 A.M. in the 800 block of South Central Avenue knowing the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. He then requested the assistance of K-9 Rika who alerted to the presence of a controlled substance in the vehicle.
The resulting search yielded two bags of suspected methamphetamine totaling 16.9 grams, and a larger bag of suspected methamphetamine weighing 73.4 grams. The potential street value of this amount of methamphetamine could be $9000.
The man was taken into custody and transported to the Wood County Jail. Charges of Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver, Felony Bail Jumping, and Misdemeanor Bail Jumping are being requested through the Wood County District Attorney’s Office.
