Local Campuses Look Ahead to Students Returning

The plan is to have the University of Wisconsin’s campuses get as close to back-to-normal as they can.

UW President Tommy Thompson yesterday said he wants to reopen the school this fall. That means at least 75-percent of students back on campus, and a return to fans in the stands for Badger football games. Thompson says they will reopen the school as safely as they can.

Locally, campuses should come back to life like we’ve been accustomed to in the past.

Fall 2021 will be a full return to normal at UW Eau Claire. The university yesterday said it’s planning to be 100-percent back in class this September. UW President Tommy Thompson yesterday said he wants at least 75-percent of students back on campus. UW Eau Claire Chancellor James Schmidt says there’s no reason his campus can’t do better than that. UW Stout and UW River Falls yesterday also said they plan to be back to 100-percent in-person classes this fall as well.
