Forecasters say temperatures will rise into the 20s on Saturday and the mid-30s by the beginning of next week.
Meantime, Wisconsinites are bearing some bitter cold. The 12 straight nights below zero is the longest streak since the winter of 1977. That year saw a stretch of 13 consecutive nights below zero.
If clouds increase tonight, overnight temperatures will probably remain in the single digits which would bring a welcomed end to a cold streak.
