The last two quarterbacks to win it all will meet today in Super Bowl 55.
Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs and Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers will square off for the chance to hoist the coveted Lombardi Trophy. Brady and Mahomes last met in the playoffs in the AFC Championship Game in January 2019 when the six-time Super Bowl champ was with the New England Patriots.
Brady and New England came out on top before winning Super Bowl 53. Mahomes and the Chiefs won Super Bowl 54 last season. The two teams will square off in Tampa with the Buccaneers on their own field, something no Super Bowl has seen before.
The Super Bowl halftime show is no stranger to controversies but The Weeknd says he’s going to keep it clean today.
The Canadian artist has promised that his performance will be family-friendly. And while The Weeknd said he would keep things “P-G,” he did hint that the show may feature a certain pirate ship in the end zone of Raymond James Stadium. The “Blinding Lights” singer reportedly spent seven-million dollars of his own money to ensure a good show.
