Putting the “WI” in Winter

Mother Nature is reminding us that it is winter…and we aren’t alone!

Blizzards could start screaming across the Midwest and the Northeast as two storm systems blow in this week.

The first is forecast to bring high winds and snow today from Iowa and Nebraska into Wisconsin and Michigan. It’ll move through the Great Lakes and interior Northeast on Friday.

Here in our area, Eau Claire could see between four and six inches of snow this afternoon.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect across Western Wisconsin. The National Weather Service says wind gusts between 30-and-40-miles per hour are expected which will send temperatures down quickly. They say wind chills will drop below zero by late afternoon.
