The U.S. Coast Guard pulls off a challenging rescue in Door County.
Authorities say over 60 people were rescued from ice floes in three separate locations off of Sand Bay Beach, Little Harbor and Sherwood Point. Cracks developed in the ice and separated the floes from the shoreline. The emergency calls came in around 10:00 this morning and the Coast Guard spent the next three hours in rescue mode along with the Wisconsin DNR and local fire and EMS crews.
