Prosecutors are asking for another delay in the trial involving the four former Minneapolis police officers charged in the death of George Floyd.
The State of Minnesota submitted the request Tuesday. Derek Chauvin’s trial is set to take place March 8th, but the state argues it will be dangerous due to the spread of the new coronavirus strain. The state instead wants all four officers charged in the case to be tried in the summer.
The judge hasn’t made a ruling.
