The Republicans who control the state legislature say Governor Evers is once again playing politics with the state’s unemployment crisis.
A number of Republican lawmakers yesterday said the governor’s proposal for a special session to upgrade the state’s unemployment computers is about 10 months too late. Senator Howard Marklein says the governor has, and has had for months, all the money and authority he needs to fix problems at the Department of Workforce Development. He said there’s no need to act as if this crisis only popped-up recently.
