It could be the summer before the general public in Wisconsin gets a chance to get the coronavirus vaccine.
Governor Tony Evers yesterday said he doesn’t think shots will be widely available until June. Wisconsin has been slow to distribute its vaccine, and the governor yesterday blamed that on the federal government. Over the weekend, Janesville Congressman Bryan Steil said the governor deserves all of the blame for mismanaging the vaccine effort from the beginning.
Cops and firefighters in Wisconsin will be among those to get the coronavirus vaccine next. The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday said first responders are on the list as part of Phase 1b. DHS has not said who else is included on that list. A clarification about that could come later today.
