National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

National Human Trafficking Awareness Day

January 11th is recognized each year as National Human Trafficking Awareness Day.

The Wisconsin State Patrol says human trafficking is a hidden crime because people don’t always recognize the signs or think it could happen in their communities. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Blue Campaign’s largest initiative is hashtag-Wear-Blue-Day in which people are encouraged to take photos wearing blue clothing and share them on social media.
