Wisconsin’s coronavirus numbers are down across the board.
The state’s Department of Health Services yesterday reported a drop in coronavirus positives in every age group over the past month. The state’s peak was November 1st, and there was a tiny uptick on November 29th, but after that the positive rates have fallen. DHS yesterday reported just over 36 hundred new positives, and 59 new deaths.
Now, there’s an app for that!
Public health managers in Wisconsin are asking that people sign-up for the state’s new coronavirus tracking app. The Wisconsin Exposure Notification app pings smartphones by using bluetooth, and can help notify people if someone who they’ve been near tests positive for the virus. The governor’s office yesterday said the app is voluntary, and doesn’t track people’s locations.
DHS Secretary Andrea Palm said the more people who use the app, the better it will be in notifying people about possible coronavirus exposure.
