The owner of an Eau Claire Mexican restaurant will not go to prison for sexually assaulting two women who worked at the restaurant.
Judge Jon Theisen accepted Filiberto Rivera’s guilty plea yesterday, and ordered him into a deferred plea agreement. That means if Rivera doesn’t commit a crime for three-and-a-half years, the sexual assault charges will be erased. Original charges say Rivera got two women who worked at his restaurant drunk, then assaulted them.
