Over 100 students at Menomonie High School skipped the first day back to class.

Principal Casey Drake yesterday said 120 of the 874 in-person students were absent yesterday. That’s about 13 percent of the high school. A group of students pledged a strike yesterday, they said to protest the return to in-person learning. Menomonie High School had been online-only since mid-November. Kids are in class this week, and part of next, then they are off for Christmas.
