Faculty and staff members at UW-Madison are looking at more unpaid days off in the new year.
Chancellor Rebecca Blank yesterday announced a second round of furloughs that’ll run between January and June. How many unpaid days depends on how much each professor, administrator, or staffer makes. The higher the salary, the more unpaid days off. Blank says they need to make cuts in order to deal with a 320 million-dollar shortfall at the school.
