The U.S. is marking another COVID-19 milestone.
The COVID Tracking Project reports the nation added more than 220-thousand new cases on Friday, topping the previous high for new infections set a day earlier. The U.S. surpassed 14 million coronavirus infections this week and set a record for single-day COVID-related deaths with more than 28-hundred American lives lost.
The CDC is urging people not to travel for Christmas to avoid further spreading of the virus.
