The woman who admitted to stealing thousands of dollars from Eau Claire’s Humane Society is heading to prison for five years.

A judge sentenced 48-year-old Nicolle Wilson yesterday. She pleaded no contest to theft charges. Prosecutors say Wilson has a history of theft, including a scheme that stole 71-thousand-dollars over a decade from another employer. Wilson was caught when she tried to cash a 60-thousand-dollar check from the Humane Society’s account.
