The Department of Natural Resources says Wisconsin hunters bagged about 16-percent more deer than during the nine-day gun season last year.
The initial numbers show about 26-thousand more deer were taken this season with the total number bagged over 188-thousand-700. The most deer in the state were taken in Marathon County followed by Shawano County and Waupaca County.
