Wisconsin’s businesses do not have to worry about being listed for having a coronavirus positive, at least not for the time being.
A judge in Waukesha yesterday issued a temporary injunction that blocks Governor Tony Evers’ office from publishing a list of businesses that have seen a customer or employee test positive for the virus. The state’s largest business group, Wisconsin Manufacturers & Commerce, brought the case. WMC’s Kurt Bauer said the list is misleading and would make things difficult for businesses across the state that are already struggling with the coronavirus.
Governor Evers has said in the past that the list would simply help people make informed decisions about where they shop or eat.
