It looks like a good first weekend for a lot of deer hunters in Wisconsin.
The state’s Department of Natural Resources is reporting a two-point-three percent increase in deer harvested during the first weekend of gun season. DNR says their numbers show hunters bagged just over 95 thousand deer between Saturday morning and Sunday evening. DNR also said that three hunters were hurt and one died in accidents during the first hunting weekend.
