Nursing students who volunteer at hospitals in Wisconsin can earn some tuition credit.
UW President Tommy Thompson yesterday announced a plan to offer 500 dollars in tuition credit to qualified nursing students in the UW System who pitch-in at hospitals over the winter break. Thompson says the students can help with vaccines or take-over some clerical work that frees-up other nurses to provide care.
Thompson says the tuition credit is just part of the Wisconsin Idea.
