A UW-Madison alum is nominated as the U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations.
The university tweeted its congratulations this afternoon to Linda Thomas-Greenfield who earned her Masters at U-W. Greenfield was one of six officials announced by president-elect Joe Biden to fill a variety of posts, including Secretary of State, Secretary of Homeland Security, the National Security Advisor, the Director of National Intelligence and the Thomas-Greenfield selection as the U.S. Ambassador to the UN.
