The Iowa based Hy-Vee supermarket chain plans to donate thousands of Thanksgiving meals. Here in our area, a Hy-Vee is planning to join the city’s grocer game at the location of the old K-Mart store on Clairemont Avenue in Eau Claire.
Wisconsin communities are on the list to receive the meals. A Hy-Vee Thanksgiving meal kit comes with enough food for a family of four. The chain will distribute 80-thousand meals to people in need in over 260-communities through local non profit organizations in Wisconsin, Minnesota and Iowa.
