The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says yesterday there was a drop in COVID-19 positive cases.
On Saturday there were five-thousand-146-new cases compared to the all time daily record Friday of seven-thousand-777. The DHS says since the disease first appeared there have been over 26-hundred deaths in the state attributed to COVID-19. So far, nearly 77-percent of people infected have recovered.
On the national level, Dr. Anthony Fauci says news of a potential coronavirus vaccine should help motivate Americans.
On CNN’s State of the Union, Fauci says the coming vaccine should inspire people to put even more effort into following basic public health measures. The nation’s top infectious disease expert admitted Americans have what’s known as COVID fatigue, but he said folks must press on. He said that’s especially true with the upcoming holiday season and as cold weather arrives in much of the country.
