Eau Claire police say someone is using their non-emergency phone number to make scam calls.
They say residents were receiving calls from someone pretending to be police and accusing them of crimes. Police say for people who get a call from a number ending in 4-9-7-2, it’s not them. The suggestion is simply to hang up.
