Madison’s Police Officers Association reacts with skepticism to Mayor Satya Rhodes Conway’s proposed police budget cuts.
In a statement yesterday the union said concessions have already been made in the current contract. Last month the Mayor said the city can’t afford a 2021 three-point-seven-five percent raise that is already in the contract.
The union statement expressed that they welcome good faith negotiation with the Mayor and the city while remaining dedicated to duty as one of the most progressive of the country’s law enforcement institutions.
