The Wisconsin Department of Health Services says cases of coronavirus in the state increased 531-percent over the last eight weeks.
In a news conference yesterday, Secretary Andrea Palm said it’s possible to stop the spread, but soon hospital systems will reach capacity and won’t be able to meet demand. That would put a strain on hospital beds and frontline workers during the ongoing pandemic, and now flu season.
