It will be January at the earliest before kids in La Crosse go back to school.
The city’s school district yesterday said it is extending online-only classes until early next year because coronavirus numbers in La Crosse continue to increase.
The district sent a letter home to parents yesterday explaining that until the numbers come down, kids will be learning from home. So far this year in La Crosse schools, 33 students or teachers have tested positive for the coronavirus, and 63 others had a ‘close contact’ with someone who is positive.
