It is a somber two-year anniversary for many in the Chippewa Valley.
It was on this day back in 2018 that Colten Treu ran down and killed Autumn Helgeson, Jayna Kelley, Haylee Hickle, and mom Sara Jo Schneider. They were picking-up trash along the side of the highway. There will be some remembrances for the girls today and tonight.
Each night this week, the Chippewa Falls Hydro Generating Station will light up in green to remember the girls. Treu is serving a 54-year sentence for their deaths.
