The number of people testing positive for the coronavirus in western Wisconsin continues to go up.
Eau Claire County reported 115 new positives yesterday. Chippewa County reported 19 new positives, and Dunn County reported 16. The counties are not saying how many people tested negative, or how many people have been declared recovered since last week.
More than two thousand people have died in Wisconsin from the coronavirus since March.
The state’s Department of Health Service yesterday said slightly over two thousand people in Wisconsin have died from the coronavirus. DHS reported 16 new deaths yesterday. Of the two thousand-47 people who have died from the virus since March, 15 hundred-40 of those deaths are people 70-years-old or older.
