Missing Person Search Ends Sadly

Friday and Saturday, four teams from Wisconsin K9 SOS K9 Search and Rescue and one from the Beaver Dam Police Department conducted numerous searches in an effort to locate Mr. Vogt. Additional searches were conducted on foot by the Horicon Police Department, assisted by the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office and the Iron Ridge Police Department. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office also deployed two drone teams with thermal imaging capabilities to assist in locating Mr. Vogt.

Today, five additional Wisconsin K9 SOS search teams, Iron Ridge police officers, and Horicon police officers were assembling in Iron Ridge to continue the search. Sadly, we received notification that a WSOR work crew located Mr. Vogt in Rubicon Township. Mr. Vogt had passed.

The Horicon Police Department, assisted by a member of Mr. Vogt’s congregation, notified the family.

ORIGINAL STORY:

A Green Alert has been issued in an attempt to locate and check welfare for 61 year old Dale Vogt. He was last seen by his wife at approximately 3:15 AM in the City of Horicon.

He left the residence on foot without his cell phone or telling his wife where he was going. Dale is described as a shorter male with a slim build, wearing a checkered type shirt with jeans and possibly a baseball cap. Dale has a history of cognitive challenges and the family wishes for his safe return home.
