Green County is not getting a wind farm after the developer dropped plans for it.
EDF Renewables was going to install 24 turbines in Jefferson, making the project the sixth-largest in Wisconsin, producing up to 65 megawatts of wind power. Area landowners have been sent letters about the company’s lease agreement being terminated. EDF Renewables has not given a reason for the project’s cancellation.
