On Sunday, October 25th, a bit before 6A.M. the Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office responded to a fire. The location was E17210 Scenic Drive in the town of Ludington. It was reported that the fire was located at an auto sales business with a male possibly trapped in a structure.
Initial attempts by law enforcement and fire personnel to locate the male occupant were unsuccessful. The victim was later recovered from the scene and has been identified as 54 year old Keith Griffin, of Eau Claire.
Fire investigation is being conducted by the Eau Claire Co Sheriff’s Office along with the assistance of fire personnel on scene. Currently, the origin and cause of the fire are undetermined. The preliminary investigation
shows no reason to suspect any foul play and appears accidental.
