A woman was killed while crossing the road .
It happened on Friday, October 16th a little after 9 on the moring. The Eau Claire County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle on Hwy 312 near North Town Hall Road. Preliminary investigation indicates that a 59-year-old woman from Illinois, was attempting to cross Hwy 312 when she was struck by a vehicle travelling westbound on Hwy 312. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The 32-year-old operator of the vehicle was not injured.
