It is the time of year when the state of Wisconsin tells drivers to hit deer. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is out with its annual warning about deer in the road.
This is the time of year when deer are most active, that means plenty of deer in the road at dusk and dawn. WisDot says it is better to hit the deer than to swerve and possibly cause a worse crash by going into a ditch or hitting a tree.
