Ten percent of the state’s restaurants are closed down for good due to the COVID-19 shutdown.
The Wisconsin Restaurant Association also says unless there is government assistance available to provide relief for struggling food service providers, more restaurants will be closing down. News3Now reported yesterday that WRA vice president Susan Quam says back in the spring no one knew the COVID-19 shutdown would still be in place into the fall and early winter.
She says a restaurant’s business model is not structured for a store to operate successfully at limited capacity.
