The Eau Claire County Board is making it clear; it does not want to look into possible missing or misspent money at the county’s Department of Human Services.
County board members last night overwhelmingly voted against an investigation into questions about theft by a DHS worker, and questions about seven-and-a-half million-dollars in overspending in the department over the past three years. Eau Claire County’s sheriff has said his office will look into DHS. Last night’s county board vote won’t change that.
