A Wisconsin Rapids woman is recovering after a crash in Wood County over the weekend.
Police say the 19-year-old victim was driving southbound on Highway 186, when she swerved to avoid hitting an animal. This caused her to lose control and hit an embankment just north of Grant Road. She was airlifted to an area hospital, where she is in stable condition.
