A federal appeals court is extending a stay on absentee ballot extensions in the state.
That ruling came down Sunday from the 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals. Just last week, a district court judge granted six extra days to county mail-in ballots that were postmarked by election day, November 3rd. At last check, more than one-point-one million absentee ballots have been requested in battleground Wisconsin, and more than 213-thousand have already been returned.
A final decision on the extended time for absentee ballots could take another few weeks.
