Wisconsin’s governor wants Badger fans to watch the games from home this year.
Governor Tony Evers yesterday said football fans need to stay safe. The governor wants all Big Ten universities to push for safe football watching this season. Here in Wisconsin, the governor said that means no fans in Camp Randall Stadium, and a lot fewer fans in Madison on game days. The governor says he is working with Madison and Dane County to remind people of their coronavirus restrictions on crowds, restaurants, and bars.
Scratch one more tradition off the list this fall in Madison. The University of Wisconsin yesterday announced that the school’s marching band will not play at Badger football games. The school said the decision came from the Big Ten Conference itself. Band members were cleared to return to practice yesterday.
