The Wisconsin National Guard has hit a milestone in its coronavirus efforts.
Commanders yesterday said National Guard teams topped 500-thousand coronavirus tests gathered across the state. The teams have been at work since March, and will continue their work for a while. The National Guard has tested people in more than 60 of Wisconsin’s 72 counties, but continues to do most of its work in Milwaukee and Madison.
Hundreds of guardsmen have been called out to help with the coronavirus effort.
