It was Saturday, September 19th, a little after 7:30 in the evening when the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a motorcycle vs vehicle crash with injuries on STH 64 at 205 th St. in the Township of Cleveland.
Preliminary investigation suggests a SUV was traveling eastbound on STH 64 and upon entering into a curve in the roadway crossed the center line and was struck by a motorcycle traveling westbound bound. The operator of the motorcycle, 63 year old David R Prestebak of Menomonie, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The operator of SUV, 35 year old Justin D Bleskachek was treated at the scene and released.
Alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the crash. At this time the crash remains under investigation
