An Altoona man was injured in a crash in Buffalo County.
It was on September 20th when the Buffalo County Dispatch Center received an emergency call reporting a single motorcycle crash on Highway 88 near County Road U in the Town of Lincoln. It was reported that the driver of the motorcycle was injured, but awake and talking.
Upon arrival, emergency crews, the driver of the motorcycle, 59 year old Robert J. Sumner of Altoona, was responsive and answering questions of emergency crews. It was reported that Robert was driving his 2011 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Highway 88 when he lost control on a bend in the road near County Road U and went into the ditch, causing him to crash. He was taken to a hospital with injures.
